K12 provides nearly 200 high school courses designed to help each student find his or her own path and follow it to post-high school success—whether that's in college or in the workforce. Content expectations were developed for each course required for graduation. A summer AP program is held at the state university of Iowa to provide high school students with intensive coursework. The reason most prep schools offer AP courses is because a good grade in AP exams usually eliminates the need to take introductory college courses.
